‘Yes, she’s on Planet Zorg. But The Fridge is an intergalactic Uber driver, aren’t ya, big fella?’

I make a running slide for the tumble dryer, but I’ve misjudged it. A giant foot stomps down on my cape and halts my slide like a coat hanger around the throat.

‘Ugh.’

Big hands grab me under the armpits. This must be how Batman felt when he fought Bane.

He slings me over his shoulder like a sack of potatoes and marches me off the set.

‘Don’t you ever set foot on my film set again!’ Rhonda Anderson Delaney screams after us. I feel like this plan may have backfired.

‘You don’t know what you’re missing out on!’ I say. ‘I just handed you a comic subplot on a silver platter!’

Apparently I’m the lone voice of reason around here.

As soon as we step outside the studio, The Fridge stops. I can’t see much from where I am, slung over the back of his shoulder. All I hear are the words of my very own bodyguard.

‘Put him down.’

The Fridge growls.

‘You might be my idol,’ Tyson says. ‘But that kid is my friend. I said, put him down.’

Woah. Tyson’s voice is so forceful that The Fridge just obeys. I would probably do whatever Tyson told me to if he spoke to me like that too.

The Fridge grunts and walks back towards the studio door.

‘Thanks, Tyson. You have fully redeemed yourself. That was amazing. I thought I was going to end up as frozen leftovers for sure.’

Tyson just looks sad. He nods towards The Fridge, who disappears inside.
